Verification (required before claiming)
You can register and sign in immediately. To reserve and collect surplus, an administrator verifies your organisation using your charity registration details (UK Charity Commission number where applicable). This protects businesses and ensures food goes to legitimate food-support organisations.
- Register with your organisation name, contact details, and registration reference.
- Complete your charity profile (location sets your browse radius).
- Accept the food-safety agreement.
- Once verified, browse live listings and claim collections.
At collection
Inspect food when you arrive. Refuse anything unsafe, out of temperature, or mislabelled. Confirm handover in the app — responsibility transfers to your organisation from that point. FoodSave Local does not inspect or transport food. Full food-safety model.
